Detriment or Advantage ?

I couldn't draw the same drawing over and over and over again even if I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that doing so was the key to a 'success' involving steady work and decent pay.
Any artist that I perceive as enjoying that kind of success seems to do just that, draw the same drawing over and over and over again.
Any thoughts on the subject?

I know! You'd think it would drive them nuts, drawing those same faces, same cars, same whatever, for years and years. I enjoy seeing artist refine and develop their own thing- getting better at those same faces, essentially, but come on! There must be a point where they plateau, or decide they'd like to express things not well suited to their established styles. Maybe it's all about "branding", maybe it comes out of the commercial history of comics. dunno..

If I understand correctly, I have that problem in spades. It's one of the reasons I can't make "real" comics.

What about animators? I'd go crazy being an animator.
